The tales of valor
Now strewn on the battle fields of reality.
The spirit of hope
Dashed upon the rocks of disappointment.
The expectation of love
Lost so quickly in the thicket of emotion.
The fulfillment of faith
Evaporated in the disbelief of misplaced trust.
Heroes unmasked.
Yet was it they who lead me to this point,
