At times we find ourselves alone –
Aching, yearning, reaching out.
What is this emptiness?
The silence?
The dark hollow echoes…
Shadows lurking like death…
Can one stand alone without loneliness?
Idle question for an idle mind,
idle time breeds this despair.
A disappointing answer drives one
further into the depths.
So why inquire?
Once there was a light.
But then forgotten, we forget,
and having then forsaken others
